While growing up Lindsay Levkoff was equally interested in biology and technology, dissecting both backyard lizards and living room electronics. However, in her K-12 experience the biological sciences won her favor due to tangibility and excitement. Following her curiosity about human physiology she attained a doctorate degree in Biomedical Sciences, but a flicker of wonderment about technology always lingered. Combining her passion for kinesthetic learning and the concept of play, she dreamt up a Department of Education at SparkFun Electronics, a company dedicated to the open source movement and sharing ingenuity. Ultimately, her goal is to create materials and tools that inspire people of all ages to play, tinker, create and invent.
