Presentation speakers
- Jim Bowring, Asst. Professor of Computer Science, College of Charleston
I teach approximately 25 computer science seniors at the College of Charleston each Spring in the course “Software Engineering Practicum.” Small teams of students are required to research and then choose an open-source H/FOSS project to join and then to become contributing members. My philosophy is sink-or-swim for both the students and the project community. I present my approach and lessons learned, with examples. Some of my students will attend and answer questions.
